Has anyone seen this movie? I notice that they have many types of powers represented in this film:
thought projection
telekinesis
premonition
"shadowing" other powers
making someone bleed internally (yikes!)
Where are the empaths?? Conspicuously absent. Why? They leave the ending very open to a sequel...so I hope they bring in empaths if they make another one.

Re: "Push"
Tue, February 17, 2009 - 8:17 PMI just saw it recently. I was a wee bit disappointed and wished I had my money back. I typically enjoy these kinds of movies because I believe the abilities are possible. Anything that can be imagined has the potential to be a more solid reality. Unfortunately, the director did not do a very good job at establishing any kind of emotional connection to the characters and the audience....an instant relationship isn't enough time to develope feelings for either side. They were only attractive people to watch on a screen....and that I enjoyed greatly even though I would have like a lot more depth.
As far as the missing empaths, I felt that while the characters who were supposedly playing the "good guys" were not labeled as empaths, their roles and their relationship of support and protection of each other implied the ability to feel empathy. They could never have teamed up with each other to fight the "bad guys" had it not been for the empathy that brought them together in the first place.
