Hello Everyone, I'm Maggie and I'm brand new to the tribe. (as in 24 hours ago). So please excuse me if I my lingo isn't up to par. I'm very new to the research of this, but was delighted to find this tribe and read about experiences that mirror my own.
I have had physical awareness as well as dreams that showed me impending danger, illness or death of people close to me as well as 9/1/01 (911) The first dream I remember was of my highschool Drama teacher. I was real close to his whole family and babysat his daughter. I had a dream that one day I dropped by and the daughter met me at the front door with blood all over her dress. She said "My Dad fell off a ladder and hit his head." In the dream I found him in his back yard bleeding from the head. But that was all there was to it. A few months later he was complaining of head and neck pain one morning. He passed out shortly thereafter and went into a coma in the ambulance on the way to the hospital. It was an aneurysm and he died a few days later. I stayed with the family and helped them through the ordeal. Now I find a calling or rather a call to duty when someone loses a loved one. I can keep a cool head and get alot of unpleasant stuff done for them.
But what I'm referring to is my other sensitivity, a physical feeling. The best way to describe it is by using an example: If anyone has ever been in the presence of a child or your child when they have started to run out into the street in front of a car. Even if the child stops, your heart takes a big leap, as you make that huge inhale reflex or gasp for air. That sudden nervous emotional shock is what happens to me.
That feeling will come and go for weeks or even months before a death, illness or tragedy. Many times the feeling will come on when the person's name is mentioned or they call me, etc. or sometimes when certain songs are played. In addition, I become very restless when I try to sleep, and get up and down several times in the night.
Does this happen to any of you......
Thanks in advance,
Maggie

Re: A Physical Description of what you feel?
Thu, April 9, 2009 - 11:14 PMI believe the realms of mental, spiritual and physical are overlapping circles.
I've never experienced personal precognition, and been wary of anyone selling it to me. However with strong clues from my own personal emotional guidance system or even empathic channeling of the thoughts and spirits of those around me, I very often get clues from my stomach. WHat I mean to say is feel it in my gut!~
My most common experience with empathy will be when I get identifiable 'gut' feelings (butterflies for love, warmth for peace, twisiting for fear, sharp pain for anger etc.) are occationally completely out of context of my personal physical/mental/spiritual situation. I will run diagnostics like a muscle-test, meditate on my mental and spiritual integrity, and so on. Though I believe I am internally connected to you all, If I can't find anything on 'my inside' I turn to others in my life, and have found sometimes my gut feelings originated elsewhere. Occationally I cannot find a source, but suspect I am channeling emotions from someone I have not met yet.

Re: A Physical Description of what you feel?
Fri, April 10, 2009 - 10:52 AMThe first to respond to your post said it well, the body, mind and spirit are very much inseparable and connected. And when one is sensitive also, you can get over reaction to things. Especially if your have some damage to your nervous and or endocrine system. I have that problem, my functions over respond to incoming stimuluses of a certain natures. And if you are sensitive an or morphic and mimicking his emotions and body, it gets worse. Being a sensitive morphic empath, I sense others emotions and etc as my own, and having a damaged nervous and endocrine system, my body over reacts, especially with life threatening scares.
Because of it, it is easy to get anxious, it is easy to feel someones anger and feel threatened, which kicks in my Adrenal glands for fight or flight for protection. The surge makes me more aggressive, and I feel hyper, and I can't relax for quite some time. Sometimes it takes a few days or more to come down to normal. As you say, "your heart takes a big leap, as you make that huge inhale reflex or gasp for air. That sudden nervous emotional shock is what happens to me." I feel that, after some happenings. Then as the adrenaline wears off, I find it harder to relax and I feel achy and jittery, which is from adrenaline withdrawal from my system.
You could be having something like this happening to you.
I sense some kind of energy or emotional blockage, from some traumatic experience in your past. You are holding things in, instead of accepting them and just letting things happen; it is causing unnecessary back pressure. But I understand why you would having this problem, with the things you sense and know. As much as how cool your gift and talents sounds, I am not sure if i would want to have the responsibility.
I hope this helps and maybe it means something. I have come to trust what comes to me, even if it does not always make sense at the moment.,

Re: A Physical Description of what you feel?
Fri, April 10, 2009 - 4:22 PMVery much so. What led me to the formal study of empathy, after knowing my entire life that me experiences were different, was the feelings I had as a premonition to my mother's automobile accident in 2005 (she's fine). Being terrified to drive my convertible on the freeway, I actually traded that car and got screwed by the dealer doing it because I was having nightmares and stuff and wanted rid of it.

Re: A Physical Description of what you feel?
Sun, April 12, 2009 - 10:02 PMDavid,
can you get a reading on me even though we haven't met face to face. Because I have to know the person, I just can't sense things unless I am personally connected to the person. You're right I do a feel a blockage, but I don't know what to do to get rid of it. I have been out of sorts since my Dad died last year. He was in a nursing home and I found it difficult to visit him because it would cause him so much depression when I would leave. Now I carry some guilt for not visiting more especially since I found out he got yelled at a lot. I prayed to God to take him out of this world rather than watch his slow decline. But it wasn't until I told him it was OK to go that he quite trying to live.
We were very close and I feel him near me, and he sends me some gifts now and then, like a rainbow I asked him for when I was really missing him. And after I put up a bird feeder in my backyard (because he used to have a ton of them) I asked him to send me a red cardinal so I would know he was with me. Two weeks later, my cardinal was there and with a mate. But despite all the positive feedback, I'm still out of sorts. I've tried meditation, and talking and even writing. But some days I feel really disconnected with the family and the world around me. I suppose it's just grief.
I don't understand much of this stuff. I don't know what a charika is, but I see it mentioned on many posts. I pick up on emotions from people, but I don't mimic them. Really just trying to find my way again... -

Re: A Physical Description of what you feel?

I am wondering if I should a private message to answer your questions, but I will start here and if it gets too personal, I can always copy and move it. Yes, I can get reading and impression from others at a distance, it seems to be part of my empathic gift, but also seems to tie into spiritual gifts as well. like the gift of discernment. Distance sensing is a fairly well known concept, especially in the ancient healing methods. I only read people, but some even claim to be able to do energy work on others at a distance to help heal someone at a distance. My awareness of sensing at a distance happened nearly 20 years ago, when i wanted to know if a certain herb or vitamin was ok for me, the warehouse was on the east coast and I in CA. I prayed about it, and the Holy Ghost told me, distance and time are precept of being in a physical body, but the spirit and part of the mind is not so restricted, or don't have to be. It seems to be who I am and I guess I am hardwired for what ever the reason or damage.
I used to be amazed by other women in our church which I knew in Oregon and Idaho decades ago, who could do what I can now, which I didn't realize I would some day be able to do the same. They were all women with health problems who turned to natural health to deal with them and developed their gifts. I don't know if they could distance sense and scan, but they would sense what vitamins and herbs and etc they needed and many times for others too, and of course their families.
I have done as you have, prayed that some loved one find a way to find peace and turn loose and pass. This is a fairly common thing in my Church, to pray for family members to find peace and return to God, and not have to endure pain any more. So often when we are dieing, we are afraid to turn loose, not wanting to leave what we know and whom we love here. When in reality the real love and peace is found on the other side, where previously passed family and Friends are waiting your return to them.
If you mean Chakra, and not Charika, Chakra are the energy points which run up an down your body, front and back, and we have smaller energy points at joints and the palms of our hands and etc.. The the main 7 are you groin, navel, half way between navel and chest, your chest, throat,, third eye between your eyes and the top or front top of your head. Each one is tied to parts of your body and affect your emotions as well and the way you think. If you do a google search, you should find plenty on them I have found that show they rotate the same for males and females, but I sensed one time and find they rotate opposite for males and females, males clockwise, then counter clockwise and so on, the females start counter clockwise so on. I find it interesting that when males and females are face to face, their energy points are in sync.
With someone passing, it is usually our feelings which have the problem, and don't want to let go, through guilt, fear and anger. I find it normally much harder to forgive ourselves then forgive others. And we might find it terrible when someone is abused, but think nothing about or even realizing we are actually abusing ourselves. I have been there and still have a problem with that, but keep working on it. It can be as simple as staying around a abusive person, or even holding your bladder to long to get something done. We often don't realize our bodies have feelings and feel pain and suffer. At one time, with my present health problems, I also was married to a mentally and verbally abusive person, and couldn't find the strength to leave and thought I was the problem, and held by fear and guilt. My body was under so much pain, it decided to die, I guess not unlike soldiers in really bad prisoner of war camps. My good Kineselogy Chiropractor caught it one visit, when you could not get any reading from my body to use energy to adjust problems. So eventually I had to leave, he said because of the pain, and because I was not able to leave it, my body decided to die. When I came in, he told me, my body had decided to die and was trying to do so, but my spirit was so strong it would not let it. He told me, your spirit was basically dragging around a near dead body.
I hope I did not get too far off topic.
I guess it helps to to deal with things, if you can separate yourself from them and decide what needs to be done, but then that is easier to do then done. I guess for me, it has helped being so sensitive, I had to learn when I was young, to not get so emotionally attached to others, and process things intellectually and logically.
