This was planted in my head at a very early age, and while it was NOT intended to be about the Empathic plight, it applies just the same.
In each of our efforts to uncover our own unique path-- overcoming obstacles all the way-- a sure way to ensure steady progress is to simply make it a goal: to learn something new day.
As long as you have that goal in place, it's amazing how the days turn to months and the months into years. Before you know it, you'll be seeing real progress without any intense effort.
If the beginning ANYTHING can qualify as, "learning something new," but in time you'll naturally want to do more. It's a TOTALLY private game.
Just look. Just watch. Everyday, from now on, you will, "learn something new." You may want to make a reminder for the first week or two. But once it becomes a habit, this little goal, will become a much a part of you, as the image you see in the mirror. Of course no one will know except you. But the benefits will be real.
For sure.
